On behalf of the Board of Governors of UWC Mahindra College (MUWCI), I am delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Pelham Lindfield Roberts as the next Head of College with effect from 15 December 2011. Mr Pelham Lindfield Robert’s appointment is the culmination of a thoroughly professional and holistic search process for which I compliment the Search Committee.
Dr Jonathan Long, as per his request, will be relieved of his duties as Head of College with effect from 15 December 2011. While accepting his resignation, the Board places on record its appreciation of Dr Long’s leadership and commitment to ensuring continuing academic excellence and robust systems and processes, as well as his dedicated pastoral care, and commitment to community service and sustainability. Under his leadership the College has achieved remarkable progress during his tenure.
Mr Pelham Lindfield Roberts brings with him about 20 years of experience in international education, including UWC experience at Atlantic College, Wales, UK. He is personally deeply committed to the UWC ethos to make education a driving force for positive change. I have great pleasure in welcoming him and his family to UWC Mahindra College. I am confident that under his leadership the spirit of the UWC philosophy will flourish and the College will deliver the kind of value based education that is so relevant and necessary for the world today.
